Paper Thin 007

Sunday, 30 March 2014

My wardrobe has had a pastel explosion this month, and I love it.

I can't get enough of this bubblegum pink & other stories knit, as soon as I put it on I feel all spring time happy! It looks great worn here with some of my Topshop staples, go to Jamie jeans and Tika2 slip on skaters that I purchased last week. A little pastel pick me up for a dreary Monday morning in London.

Paper Thin 006

Sunday, 30 March 2014

I love this outfit, it is the perfect Sunday look. The jeans are from Topshop and are the Lacey boyfriend cut, which they seem to have replaced with the Hayden cut. I have these jeans in two sizes depending on the look I am going for and they always look great on, so I hope they bring them back!

This is my go to embellished top, it makes every pair of jeans I own look slightly dressed up without really having to try at all. Perfect. I wear it loads and I picked it up the sale a while back so it has been totally worth the little money I spent on it, hehe.

Finally I am a little obsessed with these new Topshop Vixen flats, so much so I already own them in two colours and I have no doubt that this will be added to before the summer is out. They have a great price point (£16) and a simple flat always looks chic.

Inspiration | It is payday week and that means one thing, shopping! Take some inspiration from my fashion board and go forth and purchase! Check it out here

Purchase of the week | having just had my haircut near Bond Street, I couldn't resist a quick trip to Topshop. I picked up a pair of their Tika2 slip on skaters as well as a few other bits! I love them already and have been wandering round my flat in them for the past hour admiring my feet hehe.

Wish List | Harnett & Pope

Tuesday, 25 March 2014

As I sit here browsing new labels to feature on the blog, Harnett & Pope is one that I couldn't wait to share. Their super geo t-dress has gone straight to the top of my wish list, it comes in four colour ways, and I particularly love the one below. Enjoy.

Boy shorts

Monday, 24 March 2014

I love the new boy short for this season, they are a great day to day length, and I like the masculine edge to them. I have kept the colour palette quite feminine, mainly because I am addicted to the array of blushes and pastels that are everywhere at the moment. However, don't be afraid to mix in some black/grey when working with these colours, as it gives a great contrast, and enables you to pull out some wardrobe staples!

Paper Thin 005

Sunday, 23 March 2014

I am slightly glam this Sunday morning, embracing a little midriff and some spring time blooms. This jacket has been in my wardrobe for a few seasons, and I always get compliments every time I wear it. I got it from Topshop, and it is probably going to remain in my wardrobe for a few more seasons yet!

The heels are seriously high, and seriously comfy (go figure?!) and were an amazing Topshop sale purchase a few weeks back. I have styled the statement pieces with staple basics from my wardrobe. The leather pencil skirt was a vintage purchase and cost me £8 so a complete bargain, and I own about seven of these cropped tops as the midriff is key this season, so dare to bare.

New finds

Saturday, 22 March 2014

As a blogger and a writer I am always on the look out for new labels, that I can fall in love with and showcase on my blog. I tend to read all the major magazines looking for new labels that work with my aesthetic and inspire me.

This etre cecile sweatshirt is a recent find and I am in love with this label. Simple, clean and cool. It works perfectly with these faux leather shorts from Finders Keepers. I came across this brand whilst going through Red magazine this month, and it is sure to make another appearance on the blog soon!

My most recent find came up as a who to follow on twitter, and I have to admit twitter was scarily accurate regarding my taste in jewellery. This ring is by Jessie Harris, I love the simplicity and rawness of her pieces, they are just beautiful.

Styled her with an Acne shirt (my go to label for wardrobe staples that I will wear season after season), great Sam Edelman pumps and some cute glasses from Zara.
