Relax.

Sunday mornings are my time to relax each week, it involves a little lie in followed by brunch (in the garden today given the glorious weather in London) and then I do my errands for the day. It is also my time to catch up on the glossies, plan some blogs and generally organise my life for the week ahead.

As you will know I am loving the boyfriend short, and these ones from Topshop are an amazing colour with a textured weave that gives them a more tailored feel. The Warehouse croc effect cropped shirt is a fresh summer wardrobe staple and is going straight onto my payday purchases list. Markus Lupfer has produced the bomber of the season with this patchwork flower version, it is beyond perfection. Then there are the Wangs, oh the Wangs! Easter is here already and I wish I was going on a well deserved break somewhere hot and humid, but alas I am stuck in the somewhat sunny capital for the long weekend. Which isn't a bad thing as I have one of my best friend's birthdays to attend and a whole lot of shopping to do!

Coachella

I am amazed is it Coachella already! But this marks the beginning of the festival season, and that can only mean one thing - festival dressing. Me and my friend Emily call this Stevie Nicks season. Festival attire is all about getting a balance between vintage (I tend to go 70s) and modern, functional pieces. This is not fancy dress, so it is more about embracing an overall style then trying to emulate exactly. Having said that if there is ever a time you can get away with flower crowns when you aren't a 6 year old girl, the festival field is the place to do it!

New finds

As a blogger and a writer I am always on the look out for new labels, that I can fall in love with and showcase on my blog. I tend to read all the major magazines looking for new labels that work with my aesthetic and inspire me.

This etre cecile sweatshirt is a recent find and I am in love with this label. Simple, clean and cool. It works perfectly with these faux leather shorts from Finders Keepers. I came across this brand whilst going through Red magazine this month, and it is sure to make another appearance on the blog soon!

My most recent find came up as a who to follow on twitter, and I have to admit twitter was scarily accurate regarding my taste in jewellery. This ring is by Jessie Harris, I love the simplicity and rawness of her pieces, they are just beautiful.

Styled her with an Acne shirt (my go to label for wardrobe staples that I will wear season after season), great Sam Edelman pumps and some cute glasses from Zara.

Hot Pink Monday

Mondays. I am always divided on a Monday, falling into one of two camps. One, it is a fresh start so make the most of it. Two, the weekend ended too quickly and my bed is really hard to vacate! This week feels like I am going to fall into the former, so that is a good thing.

However what always make my day a little bit better no matter what Monday mood I am in, is my ensemble. Mondays tend to be causal, I have normally been dressed up over the weekend so slouchy basics is what I turn to, and this outfit is perfect.

I am in love with it all, the pink Nike trainers are on my trainer wish list (currently this is an extensive list being a Londoner and all) These Helmut Lang boyfriend jeans are amazing, and I love the pocket detail. The Equipment sweater in grey is never going to be wrong. Finally I have been searching for some great headphones for a while and Urbanears have ended my search. They come in a variety of colours, retail at less than £40 and amazingly all the fabric elements can go in the washer, perfect!

Weekend chores

Weekends are always extremely busy, having a full time job, as well as being a blogger means I have to cram in outfit posts, weekend chores, catching up with friends and everything in between. I therefore like an outfit that can see me through the day and would look great and not out of place no matter what I am doing.

I love this look, it is a kind of quirky/preppy, and would all day long. The flats are great practical and chic, as is the clear tote. I am all about layers at this time of year, and whilst I wouldn't want to hide the equipment shirt for one second as the print is amazing, having something oversized that I can throw on whilst running errands is ideal. Finally the shorts and shirt work perfectly for drinks with friends.

Spring Fling

Looking at my twitter feed this week I am not the only one who is done with the sales and is ready to welcome spring/summer wholeheartedly. So as the shops are starting to showcase what they have to offer, I thought I would have a fling with spring and provide you with my perfect capsule wardrobe.

Paint the town ... pink.

OK so granted not tonight as I am snuggled up in the warmth blogging and catching up on some blog admin! However if I was out tonight this look would be my ideal!

I have been looking for ages for a midi that works with everything and I think I have found it in this great one from Joy, the length is perfect and it would go with almost everything in my wardrobe. The Zoe Karssen T-shirt is perfect and an amazing buy since it is from The Outnet (2 more of these T-shirts are officially on my Christmas list). The heels are amazing and I don't think I need to say anything more other than amazing once again. Finally the clutch or should I say Klutch, I have featured the clear version on a previous post (see here) however the black version is just as great and if it wasn't Klear I love these Klutches!!
