Monday morning you sure look fine ...

Monday 30 September 2013

Well I don't know about you but Mondays are always a panic day for me, the weekend is over and I am running round trying to squeeze everything in. So as a rule Monday equals practical, but that isn't to say I stray too far away from stylish. Below is my ideal Monday morning outfit comfy, practical and have you seen those pumps if a girl needs to run around she can do it in style!

The skirt is Topshop and it is just something you could wear anywhere, dressing it up or down. The knit is from Warehouse and I really like it, although I can imagine it might be a bit like marmite, which I loathe by the way. But the pumps, oh the pumps, they are Katie Grand Loves Hogan and they are an instant winner over the daily dilemma of I want to look great but need to haul ass over London catching 6 tubes as I go. These I need!!

Finally I am in love with this collection of rings by Whistles, they come in a variety of colours each with a different shape within them and at only £20 a ring a girl can own more than one!!

Wrapped up and ready for conkers!

Friday 27 September 2013

I am in full Autumn mode as I sit sipping giant mugs of tea enjoying a full evening of blogging, thinking about leaves falling and beautiful rich conkers sat in the trees.

So this evenings outfit is all about rich tones and being wrapped up! This Whistles jumper is fast becoming a blogger's favourite so it wasn't long before it appeared on Paper Thin, it is gorgeous the perfect jumper to snuggle up. My favourite find however is this burgundy boyfriend coat from New Look, it is gorgeous and an amazing price point (I am off to purchase tomorrow!)

The trousers are Topshop Boutique and I love the cut! ASOS never fails me and these Hoxton heels are a classic they will literally go with everything in your wardrobe, boyfriend jeans, midi skirt, masculine trousers literally everything!

Midi. Check.

Thursday 26 September 2013

So as you probably have established I am a fan of the midi. I love the flexibility of the length, it works really well as a day to night piece and the look below is the perfect way to achieve this.

The midi is from Topshop and comes in an electric blue as well as the amazing olive, which wins for me hands down. The colour is just perfect for Autumn and with pink being the colour of the season this really is the perfect complement. Adding to this the splits give it a little edge whilst still making it suitable for everyday wear.

Joseph never fails to disappoint me for knitwear nor does Office for killer heels. However the clutch is the Pièce de résistance (if a little impractical but when is that ever really am issue?!) It is from Klear Klutch and stocked at ASOS, amazing!

Sunday girl.

Sunday 22 September 2013

So the end of the weekend is almost here however I always like to make the most of my Sunday. Tonight is date night and I am currently living in boyfriend jeans with great knits. The Victoria Beckham ones below are an amazing purchase from The Outnet and Whistles are out doing themselves with knitwear this season.

I have added an oversized boyfriend coat in this season's colour, as well as these great flats from Zara which at under £25 are heading straight onto my payday purchase list!

Sugar Kane

Monday 16 September 2013

As you will know from previous posts (see here) I am a Christopher Kane fan, and although I would have loved to showcase the floral feather-appliqué cashmere sweater which is at the very top of my never going to happen wish list hehe, I thought I would show the more everyday aspect of the label.

This cashmere open back sweater is amazing and is probably the most classic piece in the A/W 13 collection, I love it. You can wear styled below with jeans (Christopher Kane of course) and some killer heels or really go to town and team it with the animal-print goat and leather skirt, which is another favourite of mine.

My long standing love affair ...

Sunday 15 September 2013

Paul Smith was one of the first labels I ever purchased, I was 17 and bought the I Heart PS pink boob tube (OK so not a classic granted) but I still have it today and it always makes me smile. After that I developed my palate and purchased a teal cardigan with silk panels, I think from the A/W 01 collection, which I wore constantly as the colour was amazing.

My love for Paul Smith has not faded over the years as it still fits my personal style so well, girly with a masculine edge and classic with a little quirk. So you may be a little surprised that I haven't gone with traditional layered trousers look they do so well, but I fell in love with this perfect winter cocktail dress and I hope you do too.

Enjoy and roll on 4pm!!

Girls just wanna have fun

Saturday 14 September 2013

What better label to encapsulate the infamous words of Miss Lauper than House of Holland. Yes girls wanna have fun and Mr Holland provides it in bundles.

There is many a day when I am wearing a 90's ponytail, geek glasses and an outfit that my boyfriend thinks I look cute in but I can see him pondering the choice somewhat. But hey, I like the slightly bat crazy end of fashion, who doesn't?  This marabou skirt is exactly the side I like to be on, it is perfection! I have styled it with the Mrs Quiffy Tee (why wouldn't you own one), some killer heels and an oversized shopper. Granted not for the faint hearted but it is Fashion Week!

I couldn't resist adding the geek chic nails, I haven't tried them yet so if any BBloggers are reading this let me know your thoughts.

Once again similar to Anitpodium (click here), House of Holland is a vibrant, young label at an amazing price point and if you haven't already guessed it I am a little in love with it.

Vive la House of Holland!

Oh to be a girl

Saturday 14 September 2013

There are days when I love dressing up and being a girl. So as LFW progresses I couldn't resist posting the Accelerator dress by Antipodium. It is girly perfection, cheeky and fun! This dress makes me want to twirl around no matter where I am, even if it is 10am on a Saturday morning! Partner with the Miu Miu heels and you can't go wrong.

To complete I added the perfect black coat (as previously mentioned here) and Antipodium studs.

Another thing I like about Antipodium is the price point, I was reading the other day that the High Street is more than ever snapping at heels of ready to wear, but brands like this are really snapping back proving that you can purchase amazing garments without completely breaking the bank. So now what's your excuse?

Obligatory 10 deniers ...

Friday 13 September 2013

So London Fashion Week is upon us and in celebration I am going to post about each of my favourite designers, which may mean more than one post on some days, and yes Sunday has me excited already. Today however, my sole focus is on the amazing PPQ!

I am in love with the Rene dress, fact! I thought I would show it in a dressed down way and style it with ... the obligatory 10 deniers (now my post name makes sense!)

I am a sucker for a bowling bag and the Gabriel is a classic. I carry a lot around with me and I really like something to keep its structure, so this is perfect but like most of you this is on my wish, wish, wish list, however a girl can dream right?

Enjoy LFW! And catch PPQ live at 8pm.

All the leaves are ... Orange

Thursday 12 September 2013

Or at least the coats are in my world!

I was heading back home from London yesterday and whilst waiting for my train I looked across Kings Cross station to see a sea of blackness. It seems once the nights get darker and the days get colder the first thing we do is head straight for the black winter coat. Now don't get me wrong I love a classic black coat as much as the next girl (and have an amazing one lined up for an upcoming post) however this Autumn I am asking you all to try something a little different.

This tomato coat by Topshop is exactly what I am talking about and looks great with the Sophie Hulme knit, she is a current favourite of Vogue and moi, so you know it is a good purchase! I kept the rest of the look simple, after all the coat is there to do the talking.

So this Autumn, be brave and put some colour into your wardrobe.

Purrrrrrfect

Friday 6 September 2013

So I am a little late on the feline band wagon granted, but as a cat owner and general cat obsessive I am loving the trend. The Charlotte Olympia pumps that have been everywhere, are a personal favourite of mine and if you are going to go cat you may as well go all out, so the leopard print ones are my flat of choice.

I teamed them with this amazing leather A-line skirt from Topshop and a cute Sonia by Sonia Rykiel knit which is a bargain find on the The Outnet. Add to that some cute accessories (cat eye glasses a must) and a denim shirt, I am currently living in the two I recently purchased from Miss Selfridge as their denim range is amazing at the moment, and there we go feline perfection, if a little excessive hehe.

Bring on the boots.

Tuesday 3 September 2013

So Autumn is here and that means boots, boots and more boots. I am in love with this Lanvin pair and they are on my ultimate wish list.

I am also a fan of all things from the Kooples (this jacket is perfection). Their clean lines are exactly my style, and mean I can justify paying that little extra as they are not one season purchases. I have mixed in some amazing high street pieces, this River Island jumper is great and comes in black as well as this amazing red, making this the perfect Autumn outfit.
