LFW - Orla Kiely

Monday, 23 February 2015

Saturday morning saw me up bright and early for Orla Kiely and it was worth the early start!

I loved it from start to finish - and if I am honest there are not many shows I go to during Fashion Week were I think I would wear everything, but Orla Kiely was one of them.

The library setting was stunning, and super cute - the models did a great job bringing it to life, and I seriously for the first time in my life wanted to work in a library, just one that provided me with an Orla Kiely uniform of course.

The collection. Knitwear was complimented with oversized, scallop collared, white shirts. Mohair aline mini skirts were a favourite as was the stunning outerwear. Colour was blush and lemon, intertwined with monochrome, mustard and emerald green. Shoes were a collaboration with Clarks and the bags were simply, structured perfection.

A 9.30am show on day 1 of LFW means flats and monochrome was the easy option.

Botanica Home

Thursday, 12 February 2015

I love industrial concrete in the home, so it was without a doubt that I was going to love Botanica Home. The Glasgow based Etsy brand ticks all the boxes for me; industrial, geometrical, colourful ... tick, tick, tick.

The candle holders above are amazing, and the plant pots below are on my spring/summer wish list.

Paper Thin Loves ... May

Sunday, 1 February 2015

As some of you may have guessed I have an affinity towards Australian brands, so I was super happy when I came across May on a miserable Saturday afternoon scouring the internet in East London. This brand is just amazing. Their current collection, Happy Hour, has contemporary silhouettes, a great colour palette and the perfect print for S/S 15. I am sold.

So all you have to do now is cheak out their website (which ships internationally) and look out for a whole lot more of May in future posts.

Bean and Bailey

Friday, 23 January 2015

I am always browsing the internet looking for new brands so this morning whilst doing some searches on Etsy I came across Bean and Bailey. After falling in love with their ceramic geometric bowls, I headed over the their site to look at the rest of their wares.

What I found was an amazing collection of pastel ceramics, the bowls are all stunning and the hanging planters are a must have. I also love the fact that everything is under £40!

But don't take my word for it go check them out for yourself, as this American duo are doing some great things.
