Coachella

I am amazed is it Coachella already! But this marks the beginning of the festival season, and that can only mean one thing - festival dressing. Me and my friend Emily call this Stevie Nicks season. Festival attire is all about getting a balance between vintage (I tend to go 70s) and modern, functional pieces. This is not fancy dress, so it is more about embracing an overall style then trying to emulate exactly. Having said that if there is ever a time you can get away with flower crowns when you aren't a 6 year old girl, the festival field is the place to do it!

Hot Pink Monday

Mondays. I am always divided on a Monday, falling into one of two camps. One, it is a fresh start so make the most of it. Two, the weekend ended too quickly and my bed is really hard to vacate! This week feels like I am going to fall into the former, so that is a good thing.

However what always make my day a little bit better no matter what Monday mood I am in, is my ensemble. Mondays tend to be causal, I have normally been dressed up over the weekend so slouchy basics is what I turn to, and this outfit is perfect.

I am in love with it all, the pink Nike trainers are on my trainer wish list (currently this is an extensive list being a Londoner and all) These Helmut Lang boyfriend jeans are amazing, and I love the pocket detail. The Equipment sweater in grey is never going to be wrong. Finally I have been searching for some great headphones for a while and Urbanears have ended my search. They come in a variety of colours, retail at less than £40 and amazingly all the fabric elements can go in the washer, perfect!

Weekend chores

Weekends are always extremely busy, having a full time job, as well as being a blogger means I have to cram in outfit posts, weekend chores, catching up with friends and everything in between. I therefore like an outfit that can see me through the day and would look great and not out of place no matter what I am doing.

I love this look, it is a kind of quirky/preppy, and would all day long. The flats are great practical and chic, as is the clear tote. I am all about layers at this time of year, and whilst I wouldn't want to hide the equipment shirt for one second as the print is amazing, having something oversized that I can throw on whilst running errands is ideal. Finally the shorts and shirt work perfectly for drinks with friends.

Summer Sunday
