Girls just wanna have fun

What better label to encapsulate the infamous words of Miss Lauper than House of Holland. Yes girls wanna have fun and Mr Holland provides it in bundles.

There is many a day when I am wearing a 90's ponytail, geek glasses and an outfit that my boyfriend thinks I look cute in but I can see him pondering the choice somewhat. But hey, I like the slightly bat crazy end of fashion, who doesn't?  This marabou skirt is exactly the side I like to be on, it is perfection! I have styled it with the Mrs Quiffy Tee (why wouldn't you own one), some killer heels and an oversized shopper. Granted not for the faint hearted but it is Fashion Week!

I couldn't resist adding the geek chic nails, I haven't tried them yet so if any BBloggers are reading this let me know your thoughts.

So London Fashion Week is upon us and in celebration I am going to post about each of my favourite designers, which may mean more than one post on some days, and yes Sunday has me excited already. Today however, my sole focus is on the amazing PPQ!

I am in love with the Rene dress, fact! I thought I would show it in a dressed down way and style it with ... the obligatory 10 deniers (now my post name makes sense!)

I am a sucker for a bowling bag and the Gabriel is a classic. I carry a lot around with me and I really like something to keep its structure, so this is perfect but like most of you this is on my wish, wish, wish list, however a girl can dream right?

I love grey, it is one of my favourite colours to wear and it always looks so elegant without really having to try. Great for a daytime look. It also means that you can add a more garish accessory without it looking too brash, below I went with the Victoria Beckham yellow tote. Pricey but amazing so I couldn't resist.

These R13 distressed jeans are perfect to ensure that the outfit doesn't look too put together, and I am really loving River Island's knitwear collection this season so far this chunky knit is amazing and they have some super great coordinating knitwear which I will be purchasing!!

If you read my blog regularly you will know that I am not a girl to shy away from colour, and when I saw this Christopher Kane dress I feel in love! It is perfect for everything, I have styled it up here with barely there heels and an amazing bomber jacket, however it could just as easily be styled down with an oversized sweatshirt and some pumps.

Part of my fall focus is to try to buy items that are versatile, and with my imminent move to London, a reduced wardrobe is a must!!

This girl loves glasses.

I really love glasses. I own quite a few pairs that I wear on a regular basis for no other reason than I love they way they change-up my look. This girl loves shoes.

I always look at people's shoes, it is a habit. I feel that shoes complete an outfit and like most girls you can never have enough.

Metallics are always a firm favourite of mine and the silver Topshop ones will be making my wish list this month (and the YSL ones are on my major wish wish wish list hehe)

I really like good everyday shoes that work with everything, and black is my go to colour. The Kurt Geiger hi-tops are amazing, definite Sunday sneakers, and once again Topshop hasn't failed to provide me with some good chunky, masculine flat for the new season.

Finally bejewelled flats are something I really like, and the Dolce and Gabbana pair below are ideal for work. However the Charlotte Olympia star sign flats are top of my list! I am also lucky that the Capricorn ones are the perfect colour for the autumn ... it may be time to raid my savings!

I want all the colour

Colour is something that is great to play around with and it really plays off to be bold in your approach. This mother of pearl skirt is a great buy and holds everything else together. Once again ASOS are winning with their amazing accessories, this leather backpack is one of the best I have seen around and is perfect for carrying everything you need in your day to day life whilst adding a little masculinity. Perfect.

Sorry for radio silence this past week, I was lucky enough to get a guest weekend pass to Latitude festival (which was amazing) so blogging had to take a back seat for the long weekend. However I am now back and fully recuperated!

Since being in a field for the past week I thought I would go to the opposite end of the scale and share with you my current go to look for my work uniform. I was never really a trousers girl, but as I get older they are becoming a true wardrobe staple for me. Weekend Warrior

Sales love them or loathe them? I am definitely a lover of sales. They are the perfect opportunity to buy key pieces that are bang on trend, such as my new oversized neon knitwear and Aztec lingerie from Topshop. I know I will be in this knit all summer and it will definitely be featuring on some future posts. i love bomber jackets (fact)

So I was slightly dubious when it was said the bomber jacket was making a comeback, for those of you old enough to remember the 90's version was not the sleek look being worn today!
