All the goodies

I made some recent purchases that I thought I would share with you.

The candle is from a company called Flamingo Candles and they make the yummiest smelling candles and melts ever, and this is from a girl who buys an awful lot of candles! I bought the candle in pink lemonade which has been burning constantly in my office, and it smells as good as it looks. I also picked up a thai lime and mango scent melt and before I even opened the box the smell was intoxicating, it is gorgeous and the candle version will be purchased soon I think!

My second purchase has been the Gwyneth Paltrow It's All Good cook book, and I have to say the recipes look amazing. Having been at a festival all weekend I am all for healthy yummy food so I will be attempting to make her two-pan chicken this week ... I am just hoping mine turns out how it looks in the photo!

Workin' 9-5

Or as it happens until 4pm today. I think it is really important to own key staples within your wardrobe that work perfectly day to night. These heels from Office are amazing, I saw them at the weekend when out with a friend and we both immediately spotted them declaring we had to have them. They come in 4 colours (I was all about the burgundy patent version, my friend the black leather ones shown below) and I think they are a great staple heel for everyday wear.

I never like to keep things too simple though, and this jacket from River Island is a great way to make your basic day-to-day outfits still stand out. I really love it and think it is something that is not so stand out it can't be worn everyday ... perfect.

Off duty

I like to make sure that I am comfy on my days off and Acne is a label that does off duty really well. The simplicity of this denim shirt has put it straight to the top of my lust list. Teamed with the jumper and the mom jeans which I would wear rolled up, showing off my ankle socks, this look is perfect for running errands on a busy weekend. I also love to mix my denim up, and never shy away from double denim. Finally the Burberry bag tops off the look, and if that is a little out of your price range (I am sure that applies to most of us) the ASOS rucksack I featured on an earlier post would be a great substitute. Maxi layers!

This Warehouse maxi skirt is going to be in my wardrobe this weekend! It is a really good print and currently in the sale so a great price point. I have styled it for a day time look and I never really like to look too girly, so these ASOS chunky boots and Maje knit give it a slightly grungy edge.  This is my perfect day time weekend outfit.

I love, love, love this midi skirt from Topshop, and the split makes it bang on trend. Midi skirts are going to play a big role in my autumn wardrobe styled with knitwear and killer heels as below. I never like to be too girly so a chunky boyfriend watch is the perfect accessory.

This girl loves shoes.

I always look at people's shoes, it is a habit. I feel that shoes complete an outfit and like most girls you can never have enough.

Metallics are always a firm favourite of mine and the silver Topshop ones will be making my wish list this month (and the YSL ones are on my major wish wish wish list hehe)

I really like good everyday shoes that work with everything, and black is my go to colour. The Kurt Geiger hi-tops are amazing, definite Sunday sneakers, and once again Topshop hasn't failed to provide me with some good chunky, masculine flat for the new season.

Finally bejewelled flats are something I really like, and the Dolce and Gabbana pair below are ideal for work. However the Charlotte Olympia star sign flats are top of my list! I am also lucky that the Capricorn ones are the perfect colour for the autumn ... it may be time to raid my savings!
